Charlotte Motor Speedway is an iconic track for the NASCAR Cup Series. Not only because it recently hosted the longest race in NASCAR, with 400 laps but also because the Coca-Cola 600 is one of the four crown jewel races of NASCAR, along with the Daytona 500, the Brickyard 400, and the Southern 500.

However, there is some unfortunate news about the track. The city of Charlotte has been experiencing some rough and overcast weather lately. And unfortunately, the Charlotte Motor Speedway track faced some damage caused by the winds.

In fact, the winds seem to have reached up to 72mph, according to a meteorologist.

Now, the question we all have been waiting for is, will this damage affect the playoff race?

The microburst seems to have been quite aggressive with a tree falling down, and the banners breaking. But fortunately, the damage doesn’t seem too bad. And, hopefully, the home of the 400-lap Coca-Cola 600 race should be up and running soon!
